Prayer & Sunday's Devotion

The team is hopefully sleeping well right now in "the coolest hotel on earth". :) It sounds like they have been pretty busy with all of their safari adventures. The pictures are going to be wonderful!!

They are scheduled to depart for Nairobi in the morning, in the middle of the night here. Pray for their safety and for no issues to arise as they travel home. Pray also for the pilots to be rested up and alert.

Here is the devotion for Sunday morning, our Saturday evening. This will be the last scheduled devotion time for them as they will be traveling home on Monday.

Kenya 2008: A guide for your time alone with God
The following devotionals were taken from The Message Remix: Solo.

Sunday July 27th – Psalm 8

READ: Read the passage aloud slowly.

THINK: Read the passage aloud again, letting your mouth play with the phrases, connections, and comparisons that appeal to you. One by one, hold in your mind the words that stood out to you. Imagine their physical representation, how they relate to each other. What do these comparisons have to do with your life?

PRAY: Consider the exercise you just did. What does it make you want to say to God? Words of admiration? Requests to be a good caretaker of the earth? Offer it to him.

LIVE: Read this psalm outloud to God. Even if you have to whisper to avoid being heard, put your heart into it. Revel in the moment and enjoy God.
